I really like the color in contrast to the b/w. Interesting perspective - very nice illustration Katrice! You asked me about gouache before and I never got a chance to answer (sorry!) It can be used like watercolor, or you can use it like I do and layer it - I like to be able to cover my mistakes - hahaha! I like it better than acrylic (what I used to use all the time) because you can do really thin washes with gouache. Absolutely try new things and post them when you do! Kelly :)

i'm a new goauche convert as well, kd! love the crop...makes her so much more than just plain. she has some intrigue about her. :)

A very haunting image!
The way her hair covers part of her profile and her sideway glance make her look enigmatic. This "plain" Jane is definitely unforgettable.
