IF: Eyes WIDE Open

Here is my entry for this week's theme. This is a Slow Loris, a cute, wide-eyed monkey that you can find in places such as Asia and the Phillipines. ISn't he a cutie?

IF: ELECTRICITY

Here is my entry for this week's topic. As you probably already know, Ben Franklin used a child's toy, a kite, to prove that lightning is really a stream of electrified air, known today as plasma. His famous stormy kite flight in June of 1752 led him to develop many of the terms that we still use today when we talk about electricity: battery, conductor, condenser, charge, discharge, uncharged, negative, minus, plus, electric shock, and electrician. ENJOY!

A TRIBUTE TO BLACK HISTORY: HARRIET TUBMAN

Harriet Tubman was a monument to courage and determination that continues to stand out in American history. Born into slavery in Maryland, Harriet Tubman freed herself, and played a major role in freeing millions of slaves through the Underground Railroad. After the Civil War, she joined her family in Auburn, NY, where she founded the Harriet Tubman Home.

My buddies Zari and JC have passed the love and peace dove to me and with all of the turmoil and corruption going on in this world today, I am more than willing to pass it on.

I'VE WON AN AWARD!!! YAYYYY!!!

I am so tickled that my blog has made someones day! The very talented JC has given me this award because she enjoys visiting my blog. I feel honored!

Well, the first 2 things I thought about when I saw this weeks theme was Linus from Charlie Brown and the baby that Michael Jackson dangled out his window... I decided Linus would make a much nicer illo.
