IF: Eyes WIDE Open

Here is my entry for this week's theme. This is a Slow Loris, a cute, wide-eyed monkey that you can find in places such as Asia and the Phillipines. ISn't he a cutie?

Here is my entry for this week's topic. As you probably already know, Ben Franklin used a child's toy, a kite, to prove that lightning is really a stream of electrified air, known today as plasma. His famous stormy kite flight in June of 1752 led him to develop many of the terms that we still use today when we talk about electricity: battery, conductor, condenser, charge, discharge, uncharged, negative, minus, plus, electric shock, and electrician. ENJOY!

Harriet Tubman was a monument to courage and determination that continues to stand out in American history. Born into slavery in Maryland, Harriet Tubman freed herself, and played a major role in freeing millions of slaves through the Underground Railroad. After the Civil War, she joined her family in Auburn, NY, where she founded the Harriet Tubman Home.

Evolution is just a "Theory". I believe in another creator.

My buddies Zari and JC have passed the love and peace dove to me and with all of the turmoil and corruption going on in this world today, I am more than willing to pass it on.

" Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against one of your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the LORD." Leviticus 19:181.

If you want to spread the love and peace, the rules are quite simple:

1. If you get tagged or not (and want to play along), take some minutes to meditate about love and peace, pray for countries that are facing troubles, for those people you love and those you don’t.
2. Write a post with links to blogs that you think would like to participate
3. Link to this post so that people can easily find the exact origin of the meme.

I'm tagging the following people:
Jeff/ JC/ Mike/ Zari/ Kelly/ Kelly D/Valerie

The very talented Emila Yusof created this award and it has been passed to me by the very talented Zari and my buddy JC. In the spirit of Valentine's Day and the need to pass on the LOVE, I'm passing this award on to people and their blogs that I love.

JC/ Jeff/ Mike/ Brian/ Kelly/ Michelle/ Kathleen/Zari/ Kim/ Kelly D/ Pickledog/ Valerie

1. If you get tagged (and want to play along), write a post with links to blogs that you love,
2. Link to this post so that people can easily find the exact origin of the meme.

Share the Love! =)

I am so tickled that my blog has made someones day! The very talented JC has given me this award because she enjoys visiting my blog. I feel honored!

Now I must pass on the award to 5 more people whose blogs make my day. So here they are:

1.) JC: I know you just received this award but you make my day too so one more won't hurt, right?! JC is a great artist and a sweet person who is very talented and creative. Your ATCs are da bomb!!!

2.) Mike R. Baker: I love his style and techniques and his use of goache is phenomenal. Great artist you are!

3.) Jeff Brame: Very talented and inspiring artist not to mention a wonderful person.

4.) Kelly D. Hamel: Wonderful artist! She is working on a portfolio now and I think she would make a fabulous children's book illustrator.

5.) Curly Illustrator: I love visiting her blog because her art is fun and original and always makes me laugh. Great stuff!

All of your blogs make my day and I enjoy visiting them every chance I get!

Well, the first 2 things I thought about when I saw this weeks theme was Linus from Charlie Brown and the baby that Michael Jackson dangled out his window... I decided Linus would make a much nicer illo.
